Currently, in the US different state has different minimum wage therefore depending on your job and its location, your wage may varies. Most participants are getting around (12.50 - 19.50 dollar per hour). Below is the typical break down of the total compensation you will earn during your program assuming 15.00 dollar per hour.

Base Pay7,200 (15.00 per hour X 40 hour per week X 12 Weeks)  Housing Cost (Free for some jobs)- 1,500 Housing ($500 per month * 3 months)Food Cost (Full duration of the camp)- 700 food> $5,000 Pocket money

This is the typical case for most applicants however, for those who wants to earn a little more money, participants are able to take a second job to earn even more pocket money for their school year.

Our camp counselor/staff application process can sometimes seem complex. We're here to simplify it for you, guiding you through each step with clarity and support.

    Application

    The students reaches out to Selke Travel Company and we offer them the application that they have to fill out. Fill out personal details and employment preferences.

    Interview and Screening

    The students participate an interview and screening process conducted by us to gauge suitability of the participants.

    Job Placement

    Employment companies partnered with us will reach out to you with a job offer. Choose the job offer that interests you the most and accept it.

    What you'll need

    • $1600 deposit
    • Background Check
    • Letter of enrollment from your university/college

    Final Documentations

    Schedule a VISA interview at the U.S Embassy, complete the DS-2019 form, pay the SEVIS fee and acquire the background check from the Thai Police.

    Schedule Visa Appointment

    While you wait for the DS-2019 invitation to arrive. Scheduling your appointment with the US Embassy is a crucial step in your journey to working at a U.S. camp. Our team is here to guide you through this process, ensuring a hassle-free experience. We'll assist you every step of the way to help you secure your visa and make your camp dreams a reality.

    Attend the Visa Interview:

    Attend the scheduled visa interview at the US Embassy. During the interview, be prepared to answer questions about your intended camp employment, travel plans, and other relevant details. Be honest and concise in your responses.

    Pre-Departure Preparations:

    With your visa in hand, you can proceed with pre-departure preparations, including booking your flight, obtaining necessary travel insurance, and preparing for your job experience. Which include orientations.

    Travel and Arrival

    Finally, it's time to travel to the United States and join your job. Ensure that you have all required documentation and are well-prepared for your camp counselor/staff role.

    Our partnering organization here in the US will call you every week to check up on you along with a 24/7 helpline which is avalible to you.
